Giant Sea Bass: The film examines a study of Giant Sea Bass (Stereolepis gigas) in Southern California waters by Michael Domier, PhD of the Pflager Institute of Environmental Science (PIER) . A separate diver’s quest over years included filming Giant Sea Bass courtship, close encounters and the documentation of numerous 300 pound behemoths swimming within 5 miles of the Electric Lodge and offshore from the Santa Monica pier.
Plastic Trash to Oil: depicts an emerging technology that can be applied in remote regions to convert plastic trash to light crude oil in a cradle to cradle operation. Trash becomes valuable to collect and reprocess instead of trashing the environment.
Together: dancing with spinner dolphins and an interview with with Chisa Hidaka who will explain about species to species communication and the Dolphin Dance Project.
Whales Die, Zombies Dance (in protest): The film documents the fatal impact plastic trash has on whales, and a troupe of trash-adorned zombie dancers, who emerge from the sea to draw attention to the problem. After the film the Plastic Trash Zombies “perform live”.

We are a group of eco-minded students from Santa Monica High School who participate in various ocean stewardship/environmental science competitions. We try to raise awareness about the global marine debris, energy and climate change crises through different service learning and community outreach projects. Team Marine was started by the Marine Biology students of 2006/2007 and coached by Marine Biology teacher Benjamin Kay,.
This is Your Ocean: SHARKS Art, science, and a bond of trust fuse together to shatter public perception of sharks in a new documentary, “This is Your Ocean: Sharks.” All barriers between people and sharks are removed in an effort to depict these animals in a new light. Narrated by legendary oceanographer Dr. Sylvia Earle, this documentary takes you on an adventure with world renowned marine life artists Wyland, Dr. Guy Harvey, and shark expert Jim Abernethy.
